Fun for all the Family
The Manchester Histories Festival is for all the family, and there are a wide variety of activities taking place throughout Saturday 21st March which are suitable for all ages:
- Festival exhibits will be staffed and there will be volunteer stewards on hand
- Staffed free buggy park on the ground floor
- Explore the exhibits using our family friendly trail. For ages 6-11, or anyone else who wants to have a go!
- Come along and find out about the world's first stored program computer
- See and touch objects related to football from Manchester United FC's collection. Suitable for adults and children
- Watch DVDs all about Manchester City FC. Suitable for all ages
- Find out from real archaeologists what it's like digging up the past. Suitable for ages 10 and up
- Listen to podcasts about the history of swimming at Victoria Baths. Suitable for ages 10 and up
- Discover Manchester through an interactive digital model and roam the digital streets of Ancoats. Suitable for all ages. Parents may wish to supervise young children
- Join staff from the Museum of Science and Industry to investigate the city's industrial past
- For more information on family events and activities in and around the city, Arts About Manchester will be on hand throughout the day
- Rest your feet and have a cuppa in our café
